We are looking for a talented, experienced, and passionate Social Media Manager to join our team. The Social Media Manager will manage our organizations’ image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. As our Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. You will be working closely with the Marketing and Sales departments.
Social media is an ever-evolving networking space where updates help build perceptions and reputations. As a non-profit, we need to stay active, always engaged, and involved with our community through all major platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok, and adapting content to suit different channels
- Design and implement social media strategy to align with organizational goals
- Suggesting ideas for new and engaging content that is in line with the content pillars
- Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g., original text, photos, videos, and news)
- Identifying cross-promotion and engagement activities with other accounts, partners, and trends
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency
- Communicate with followers and partners and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
- Oversee social media accounts’ design and layout
- Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency
- Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and terminology
- Supervise all aspects of social media interactions between the public and the organization to ensure a positive experience
- Form relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A Diploma/Degree in Marketing or PR is considered a strong asset
- 2+ years of social media management experience is required
Skills & Competencies:
- Experience in managing and running Google ads, Boosting Facebook ads, and Paid advertising on digital media is a strong plus
- Hands-on experience in content management is required
- Understanding of social media analytics is required
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Linkedin and social media best practices
