WE GOT THIS CANADA’s Emergency Meals and Hampers program is a recurring event designed to provide relief and bridge the nutritional gap for people facing food insecurity. It is aimed to provide access to healthy food and supplement the limited household income of people living in poverty through our programs and services.
- Emergency meals are distributed weekly to serve as many individuals as possible; food varies depending on available resources and organizational partnerships.
- Emergency Food hampers include a week’s worth of produce, meat, and pantry items aimed to provide relief for families facing food insecurity.
- Special Hampers whenever possible, specialized hampers are assembled and delivered, alongside food hampers, to provide additional support to families. Some of these are:
Mom ‘n’ Me hampers are curated for mothers with infants and toddlers. These include formula, baby food, diapers, women’s hygiene and other basic items needed by families with little ones.
Hygiene hampers include laundry detergents, toiletries, and other items that will help individuals avoid diseases caused by poor hygiene. All meals and hampers are prepared, assembled, and distributed with the help of our donors, volunteers, and local businesses. Sign up below to donate or get access to these programs.
