Job Description
We Got This Canada is seeking an experienced HR Director with outstanding people skills to manage our personnel and ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall organizational goals objectives. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high work ethic, excellent communication skills, knowledge of labor regulations and HR practices, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. The HR Director should improve existing HR processes, implement strategies that support organizational growth, improve morale, enhance safety and wellness, attract the best recruits, and promote the organization’s values.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement human resources policies & procedures
Supporting strategic objectives
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to recruiting and retention
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs
- Identifies recruiting needs; Develops and executes best practices for talent acquisition and talent management
- Promotes and implements human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs and directing leadership
- Develops organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resource issues
- Contribute information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction
- Establish human resource objectives that are in line with organizational objectives
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Motivate and support current volunteers
- Maintain volunteer records
- Design and direct training programs
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new volunteers in the department
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A diploma, certificate, or degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field is required
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role is preferred
- CPHR designation considered an asset
